Arch pain 10 months post bunionectomy

Arch Pain 10 Months Post Bunionectomy

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to share my journey back to fitness after a hiatus due to a surgery. As many of you know, I’m a big fan of Lagree, also known as “Modern Pilates”. This workout is a fantastic blend of cardio and strength exercises that keeps your body toned and your muscles firm. However, after my surgery, I had to take a break due to inflexibility in my toe.

how do i get rid of arch pain in my foot

Resuming Workout

This month, I finally felt ready and was cleared by my doctor to resume this workout. For those unfamiliar with Lagree, it involves a lot of planking and foot bending action.

Experiencing Arch Pain

However, the day after my first class, I experienced a sharp pain at the start of my arch/ball of my foot. It’s been three weeks, and the pain persists. I’m wondering if any of you have experienced something similar or have any advice to offer?

Possible Causes

One possibility that crossed my mind is tendonitis. Tendonitis is inflammation of the thick fibrous cords that attach muscle to bone. It causes pain and tenderness just outside a joint. The most common symptoms of tendonitis include pain at the site of your tendon and the surrounding area, which can get worse when you move.

Given that Lagree is a high-intensity workout that targets muscles instead of joints, it’s possible that the sudden resumption of these exercises might have strained my tendons. However, I’m not a medical professional, and this is just a hypothesis.

Consulting a Healthcare Provider

If you’re experiencing similar symptoms, it’s crucial to consult with a healthcare provider. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options.

Taking It Easy

In the meantime, I’m taking it easy and giving my foot the rest it needs. Remember, it’s essential to listen to your body and not push through the pain. Health and fitness are marathons, not sprints!

I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance for your advice and support!
